1. Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to the Pandee mobile application and this website (together, the “Services”). “Pandee,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the provider of the Pandee app. For privacy questions, contact us at 1259395710@qq.com.
2. Information Pandee handles
Learning and preference data stored on your device
The app stores the following information locally in its private app storage and, where needed for widgets, the app’s shared iOS app group:
- Your selected HSK level and daily new-word target.
- Word review state, ratings, review dates, and study streaks.
- Daily-sentence views and widget exposures.
- Game attempts, scores, accuracy, completion, and preferences.
- Widget display settings, active hours, and reminder times.
- Onboarding and tutorial completion state.
This learning data is used by the app on your device. The current version of Pandee does not upload this learning data to us, does not provide cloud sync, and does not associate it with a Pandee account.
Purchase and subscription information
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Pandee uses RevenueCat to load available plans, validate receipts, restore purchases, and determine whether Pandee Pro access is active. In this process, Apple and RevenueCat may process purchase history and transaction information such as the product purchased, receipt or transaction data, subscription and entitlement status, purchase and expiration dates, price, currency, and storefront or country.
Pandee does not send RevenueCat your name or email address and does not provide it with a custom account identifier. RevenueCat’s SDK generates a random anonymous App User ID and stores it on the device so subscription access can be recognized. RevenueCat may also process limited device and request information needed to operate and secure its service, subject to its own privacy policy.
Notifications, widgets, and speech
- If you grant notification permission, Pandee schedules reminders locally on your device. Pandee does not operate a remote push notification server or collect a push-notification token.
- Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets use locally shared app data so they can display selected words and daily sentences.
- Chinese pronunciation uses your device’s text-to-speech service. Pandee does not access your microphone or record your voice. Your operating-system provider’s settings and policies may apply to its speech services.
Emails you send us
If you contact us, we receive your email address and any information you choose to include. We use it to respond to and resolve your request.
Website information
This static website does not set advertising cookies, run analytics, or include a contact form. It is hosted through GitHub Pages. Like most hosting providers, GitHub may process basic connection and log information when pages are requested. That processing is governed by the GitHub General Privacy Statement.

3. How information is used
We use or otherwise process information only as needed to:
- Provide and personalize the learning experience on your device.
- Display progress, schedule reviews, and operate app features.
- Process, verify, restore, and support subscriptions and purchases.
- Prevent fraud, maintain security, and troubleshoot service issues.
- Respond to support, privacy, and legal requests.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, these activities rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services, compliance with law, or your consent (for example, when you choose to enable notifications).
5. Retention and deletion
- On-device learning data: remains on your device until you delete the app or the operating system removes its data.
- Widget data: remains in the app’s shared local container and is removed according to your operating system’s app and extension data-management behavior.
- Purchase information: is retained by Apple and RevenueCat according to their policies and as required for billing, security, accounting, and legal compliance.
- Support correspondence: is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request, maintain support records, and meet legal obligations.
Because Pandee has no user accounts and RevenueCat uses an anonymous identifier, we may not be able to connect an email request to a particular subscription record without additional information. Apple controls App Store transaction records and requests concerning them may need to be directed to Apple.
6. Your choices and privacy rights
- Decline or disable notifications in your device settings.
- Remove Pandee widgets from your Home or Lock Screen.
- Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings.
- Delete locally stored Pandee data by uninstalling the app.
- Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection for personal information we control, or to withdraw consent where applicable.
Your rights depend on where you live. We may need to verify a request, and some information may be exempt from a request where permitted by law. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
7. Children’s privacy
Pandee is a general-audience language-learning app and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
8. Security and international processing
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the limited information we process. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Apple, RevenueCat, GitHub, and email providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, service providers rely on recognized transfer mechanisms and safeguards. Their privacy policies provide more information about their practices.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Services or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. If a change is material, we will provide any additional notice required by law.
